The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday suspended the Special Central Court’s order of issuing show-cause notices to three Punjab government officials, stopping payment of their salaries, and slapping fines on them for not producing former Punjab chief minister and PTI President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The LHC also issued a notice to Chaudhry Pervaiz to submit his reply in the case day after tomorrow.  

The Special Central Court had ordered issuance of show-cause notices to Additional Chief Secretary Home Shakeel Ahmad, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and Inspector General of Prisons Punjab Mian Farooq Nazir besides stopping release of their salaries and slapping Rs50,000 in fine on each of these officials.
