No room for extremism in Islam, says Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has strongly condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, saying there is no room for extremism in Islam, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a statement on Saturday, the chief minister said that the painful incident has deeply hurt the sentiments of billions of Muslims. He said every state must take measures for the prevention of such Islamophobic acts.

Mohsin Naqvi urged the international community to work for promoting inter-faith harmony and dialogue to create tolerance for each other’s religious beliefs and values.

He stressed that humanity must move away from acts of senseless hatred towards uniting the world in peace.
