PIA’s first flights carrying pilgrims reach Lahore, Karachi

The national airline PIA has continued its flight operation to bring pilgrims from Saudi Arabia back to Pakistan as another flight PK-760 carrying 329 pilgrims reached Lahore from Jeddah on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PK-760 reached Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport at 3:20 pm and the airport officials welcomed the pilgrims.
The PIA’s first flight carrying 200 pilgrims already landed at Islamabad International Airport on Sunday morning.
Yet another PIA flight PK-832 with 360 pilgrims reached Karachi at 3:35 pm. The pilgrims were warmly welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. He laid floral wreaths for the pilgrims.
As many as 693 pilgrims were due to return to Pakistan in the first three flights.
The PIA flight operation from Jeddah will continue until July 20, while pilgrims will start leaving Makkah for Madinah on July 5.
As many as 38,000 pilgrims will travel to Madinah. The last Hajj flight from Madinah will reach Pakistan on August 2.
