The Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir has said that the decision to release Chaudhry Parvez Elahi by the court is a question mark on the quality of the judiciary, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

According to the sources, Aamir Mir reacted to the court's decision to discharge Parvez Elahi in the corruption case and said that the political commitment of the judicial magistrate who gave immediate relief to Parvez Elahi is clear.

The interim government minister alleged that the judge ignored the facts while discharging Parvez Elahi in the mega corruption case.

Aamir Mir raised the question over the affiliation of the judge and said that a judge with political affiliations is giving judgments in FIA and anti-corruption cases.

“The same judge has already given relief to Parvez Elahi and Mohammad Khan Bhatti in 5 cases,” Aamir Mir added.

Taking a jibe at the judge said his social media page is sufficient proof of his political commitment. The government is looking into the matter seriously.

“Those sitting on the bench of justice should not make decisions based on political affiliation,” he urged.

He vowed that they would continue to fight against corrupt elements.
