Ex-president Asif Ali Zardari visited former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq’s residence in Lahore’s Gulberg area, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

Asif Ali Zardari expressed condolence over the demise of Ayaz Sadiq's brother.

He prayed the Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

The former president has been in Lahore for a few days. A number of party leaders and his friends held meetings with him. 

Reportedly, politicians from South Punjab met him and joined the PPP. The newcomers belong to Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Bahanagar, Mianwali, Okara, and Khanewal.
