Gas supply to Karachi industry and private power plants will remain closed from June 3 to June 5 owing to a severe shortage of gas in the system, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) sources, the gas supply to the industries and captive power plants will be closed from Saturday 8 am to Monday 8 am.    

SSGC informed all industrial associations in this regard that gas will be shut off for 48 hours due to gas shortage.

The gas company also warned that strict action will be taken against the gas-consuming industry from June 3 to 5 and the violator may be disconnected for 7 days.
