Budget 2023-24 of LDA, WASA, TEPA worth Rs78b approved

The annual budget of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and the Traffic Engineering & Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) for the fiscal year 2023-24 has been approved on Thursday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the budget was approved in the meeting of the governing body of the LDA chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi here in Lahore.
In the meeting, Lahore Commissioner and LDA Director General Mohammad Ali Randhawa and Managing Director (MD) of WASA Ghafran Ahmed participated.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Engineer Israr Saeed, Director of Finance Muhammad Kashif, members of the governing body, supervisory cabinet and other officers.
As per the channel report, the funds for the fiscal year 2023-24 worth Rs53.5 billion were approved for LDA, Rs22 billion for WASA and Rs2 billion for TEPA.
The development budget of LDA, WASA, and TEPA is allocated Rs43 billion while 8.5 billion has been allocated to the head of the non-development budget.
In the budget for fiscal year 2023-24, Rs4.3 billion were allocated for salaries in LDA while Rs16.5 million has been allocated for fuel expenses.
Rs150 million have been allocated for payment of electricity bills of the LDA buildings.
For the fiscal year 2023-24, a target of Rs10 billion has been set for commercialization fees of town planning while a target of Rs2.5 billion has been set for map fee, CC, and penalty fee.
