Climber Asif Bhatti stranded on “killer mountain”

Pakistani Mountaineer Asif Bhatti Monday stranded while attempting to scale the Nanga Parbat Mountain, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Senior mountaineer Asif got stranded at camp four at a height of 7500 meters as he suffered from snow blindness.
The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) stated that a helicopter is required for Asif’s rescue but he will have come down to 6500 meters. The Karakoram Expedition in Shimshal is putting in efforts to save Bhatti. He went for the expedition along with other climbers including Lt Col (R) Dr Jabbar Bhatti, Dr Naveed, Saad Muhammad and Faheem Pasha a few days back. Bhatti’s other team members have not yet begun their final summit push, stated the ACP spokesperson.

Asif Bhatti is a University professor in Islamabad. He has earlier summited the K2, Lhotse and Broad Peak with his fellow climbers.
A Spanish mountaineer died during his attempt to scale Nanga Parbat.
