Govt likely to allocate budget for renovation despite financial constraints

Pakistan has been facing its history’s worst economic crisis, but the government seems in no mood to shed its lavish expenditures, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the documents available with the 24NewsHD, the government has proposed an allocation of Rs 800 million in the upcoming budget FY 2023-24 only for the renovation of Islamabad’s official buildings including the Prime Minister House and PM Staff Colony.

A budget of Rs 150 million has been proposed for the allocation of renovation and beautification of the Prime Minister's office building.

Rs 150 million will be allocated separately for refurnishing and additional facilities of PM Staff Colony.

Likewise, it has been proposed in the upcoming budget to give Rs 500 million for the maintenance and beautification of government buildings in Islamabad.
