The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to make former first lady Bushra Bibi a witness in the Al-Qadir Trust case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The NAB notice was issued to Bushra Bibi as a witness, not as an accused. Her statement as a witness will be recorded on June 7 next.

The NAB under the amended act is bound to tell a person whether he or she is being summoned as a suspect or a witness.

In the notice issued to Bushra Bibi, she has been summoned as a witness.

The NAB court has already declared that the arrest of Bushra Bibi is not needed.

Documents related to Al-Qadir Trust have also been sought from Bushra Bibi.

The details of the registration of Al-Qadir Trust, approval from the Punjab Higher Education and the donations received by Al-Qadir Trust have also been sought.
