Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project will be completed in 5 months.

Talking to the media after paying a visit to the project, he said all obstacles have been removed and the best quality will be ensured

He said the project completion will put an end to traffic trouble on Thokar Niaz Baig and Canal Road and it will be a big relief for the South.

Residents of all government and private housing schemes will be beneficiaries, he added.

“I want to make it clear that I am not seeking votes … I am just serving the people,” Mohsin Naqvi made it clear and added that efforts to ensure better public service delivery are on.

He continued: “The entire team is working day and night to provide relief to the people.  We all have the same goal to provide maximum relief to the public.”

Regarding Islamia University Bahawalpur scandal, the chief minister said the Punjab government will submit the report to the judicial commission.

“Our girls are safe,” the chief minister assured, stressing that the issue is being overplayed. “It is my promise that the culprits will not escape from punishment.”

About the closure of operation theatres in the Punjab Institutes of Cardiology (PIC), he said the step has been taken to make the facility infection free. infection rate rose to more than 80 per cent, making the government close the operation theatres as it is a matter of life

Regarding the pathetic police stations, he said the IGP and CCPO vowed to bring in reforms at the earliest. He stressed that the police should be public-friendly and the atmosphere at the police station must be conducive for justice seekers.

Probe into the matter of Snooker Champ Ahsan Ramzan is underway, he said, adding that law will take its course.
