Child Protection Bureau takes legal custody of torture victim Rizwana

On the instructions of chairperson Sara Ahmad, Child Protection Bureau (CPB) has taken legal custody of torture victim Rizwana on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

CPB Chairperson Sara Ahmad assured that the Bureau will provide complete protection to Rizwana.

This is pertinent to mention here that Rizwana was a housemaid and was tortured by wife of a civil judge in Islamabad.

The innocent girl is still is under treatment at General Hospital in Lahore.

Islamabad police probe team

The IGP Islamabad has constituted a six-member team led by SSP Investigation to investigate the maid torture case as the accused, Civil Judge Asim Hafeez’s wife Somayya, is avoiding joining the police probe.

The IGP directed the police probe team to complete their task as soon as possible and without any pressure.
