Four Karachi cops booked for illegally detaining, torturing woman

Four police officials including a sub-inspector of Chakiwara police station in Karachi for illegally detaining a woman, torturing her and releasing her in exchange for Rs150,000, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

A plain dress special party of Chakiwara police had detained a woman identified as Faiza.

The police party subjected the woman to severe torture and released her in exchange for Rs150,000.

The affected woman informed the DIG South about the brutality of the police.

On the direction of the DIG South, a case was registered against the police party at Kalri police station.

Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar and other police officials including Nasrullah, Ali Gul and Asif Sindhi were nominated in the case.
