Police have arrested a husband and his brother in a terrorising incident of burning a woman alive in Sillanwali, Sargodha district, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel on Friday.   

The woman namely Tehmeena was burnt severely after her husband Ejaz (38) with the help of his brother Imtiaz set her on fire at a house 126-NB, in the jurisdiction of Sillanwali police station.

Police said that Ejaz (38) had a domestic dispute with her wife, Tehmeena.

On the day of the incident, after an exchange of harsh words, Ejaz hurled acid with the help of his brother and later set her on fire after pouring petrol.

She received severe burn injuries and was shifted to the hospital for medication. The accused allegedly attempted to make the incident a suicide case.

She was later shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for her deteriorating condition.    

Further investigation was underway.
