As pressure mounts on PTI leaders, workers as well as supporters either to quit or detach themselves from the party in the aftermath of May 9 violence, more and more of them are now dissociating themselves from the party they once loved so much, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The latest to quit the party is Chaudhry Raza Nasrullah Ghumman, ex-PTI member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Faisalabad.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said he was heartbroken by incidents of arson and vandalism that took place in several cities of the country on May 9, and had, therefore, decided to take a break from politics. “I want to spend time with my family,” he said.
Later talking to 24News, he confirmed the news of his retirement from politics.
