The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has termed the arrest of Imran Khan as a ‘political vendetta’ and ‘political engineering, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Taking to Twitter, the party central media department of PTI, penned that the arrest of the PTI chief has been highlighted as part of the ‘London Plan’ in order to get a level playing field for the elections.

“The order of Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar is completely biased and it would be challenged in the higher court,” the statement issued by the PTI said.
It added that the judgment was a dark spot in the history of our judiciary. It is a blatant attack on the people and democracy of Pakistan, the statement added. “We’ll not accept this conspiracy and revenge against the most popular political leader of this time,” the statement read.
A local court sentenced the PTI chairman to a three-year term in the Toshakhana case on Saturday. He was arrested from his Zaman Park residence moments after the court order and was taken to Islamabad. Humayun Dilawar – the additional session judge – had passed the order as the PTI chairman again failed to appear in person.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi rejected the conviction and arrest of the party chief and called it a politically motivated and predetermined decision.
He expressed concern at the arrest of his party head and reminded the judiciary of its duty to ensure justice. He said that the party would contest the decision.
