Doctors treating violence victim Rizwana have removed oxygen as her condition showed improvement, the 24NewsHD TV channel said on Saturday.

The medical board leader Professor J Saleem said the decision to shift Rizwana from the Intensive Care Unit to a ward will be made in a couple of days.

She is currently being put on drips and the infection too reduced considerably, the doctor said, adding that she is consuming food now.

She started talking and her psychological condition is too showing significant improvement.

The 14-year-old girl used to work at Civil Judge Asim Hafeez’s house and was brought to Lahore General Hospital after being subjected to brutalities by Asim’s wife.

She told the PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz that she was beaten mercilessly and also made to drink acid.
