Govt notifies increase in salaries, allowances for employees

The Federal Finance Ministry has issued a notification of an increase in salaries, pensions, and allowances for government employees, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the notification issued on Tuesday, the salaries of employees working in Grades 1-16 will be increased by 35% and employees of Grades17-22 will get a 30% increase.

However, the increase will be made through an ad-hoc relief allowance basis instead of changes to the basic income structure.

The orderly allowance has been increased from Rs 17500 to Rs 25000.

The notification says that there will be a 20% increase in deputation allowance and special allowance for government employees.

The conveyance allowance for disabled employees has been increased from Rs.2000 to Rs 4000.

The deputation allowance and special conveyance allowance for has also been increased by 20 percent.

The attendant allowance of the Armed Forces has also been increased to Rs 32,000 per month.
