Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has said that the 2016 scenario should return to the country, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a media talk in London on Monday, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said the Almighty blessed him and the persons who were trying to get him out of the national politics, are being vanished from the political mainstream.

In 2016, a five-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualified Nawaz Sharif from holding public office for life. Sharif duly resigned. The development comes in the wake of allegations of corruption against the ex-prime minister and his family originally made in the “Panama Papers”.

In the detailed verdict, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the massive corruption scandal.

The sentences mark a grim milestone for Sharif, who has seen his political fortunes fall with stunning speed in the past years.
