PM special aide Attaullah Tarar said on Monday that the decision in the Dr Yasmin Rashid case was made in haste, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The court gave relief to the former Punjab health minister, he said in the press conference.

He added: “It is wrong to say that Yasmin Rashid's name was not in the FIR. Yasmin Rashid is seen in the video of the attack on Jinnah House. Yasmin Rashid's case was discharged illegally.”

The PM aide stressed that the former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi has been supported by the judges of the Supreme Court

“The PTI properly planned the May 9 destruction. The party office-bearers were assigned the special task for rioting,” he maintained.

The members of the former ruling party took to the streets to vent their spleen over the arrest of ex-PM Imran Khan in a corruption case last month.

They damaged public property, state assets and sensitive installations. They stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Corps Commander House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar leaving a trail of destruction.
