Lahore Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider issued orders for all the filling stations to stop giving petrol to helmetless motorcyclists.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the DC Lahore Thursday issued a notification not to give petrol to any motorcycle rider without a helmet.
It is directed in the notification that all petrol pump owners should not supply petrol to motorcyclists without helmets.
The notification said due to not wearing helmets, deaths by head injuries of riders in motorcycle accidents are increasing sharply.
The notification also directed all petrol pump owners to ensure compliance with government orders.
