Tragic landslide in Shangla claims lives of eight children

A devastating landslide struck a group of children playing in Martung village of Shangla, causing widespread panic and prompting an immediate response from the Rescue 1122 team.

Upon receiving the distress call, Rescue 1122 swiftly deployed their teams to the affected area, where they have been tirelessly conducting rescue operations.

As of now, Rescue 1122 has managed to recover the lifeless bodies of eight children from beneath the debris.

However, according to local witnesses, several children are still unaccounted for, trapped under the rubble. The search operation, led by Rescue 1122, is ongoing to locate and rescue any survivors.

The rescue efforts have been bolstered by the involvement of three ambulances from Rescue 1122, along with 22 personnel equipped with specialized rescue gear. Excavators have also been deployed to assist in removing the heavy debris, increasing the chances of locating those trapped beneath.

The landslide has left the community in shock and mourning, as they anxiously await updates on the fate of their loved ones. Local authorities, including Rescue 1122, are working tirelessly to provide support and comfort to the affected families during this trying time.
