Accusing former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan of plotting to murder Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Abdur Razzaq Shar Advocate, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Interior and Legal Affairs Ataullah Tarar said on Tuesday that the PTI chairman would be held accountable for that, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he alleged that Imran, who was already tainted with corruption, now also had blood of a lawyer on his hands. “There is no doubt that the ‘target killing’ of a lawyer is a murder of justice,” he said, adding, “The matter will be fully investigated. Shar’s blood will not go in vain.”

Tarar said the reason why the lawyer had been killed was that he had filed a petition in the court seeking action against Imran for committing ‘treason’.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, Advocate Shar, who had filed a petition in the court seeking action against former prime minister under Article 6 for violating the constitution, was killed in Quetta.
