Govt to continue Health Card scheme

The federal government has decided to continue the National Health Card scheme launched by the previous Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in the upcoming FY 2023-24 budget, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The government has proposed to allocate a sum of Rs 2.30 billion for the health facility programme in the next budget.

The decision to continue the health facility program has been taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, sources said.

Rs 11.79 billion has so far been spent on the scheme while a total of Rs 31.94 billion was approved for the project.

Rs 2.50 billion were allocated in the current financial year 2022-23.
