Low-intensity quake jolts Swat, adjoining areas

A mild-intensity earthquake shook Swat and its adjoining areas on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the magnitude of the earthquake was 4 on the Richter scale and its depth was 125 kilometres.

The epicentre of the quake was the border region of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

No loss of life or property was reported so far.

Earlier this year, an earthquake of 6.8 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted parts of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, claiming the lives of at least two people and injuring 180 others.
