Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid has posted a video showing an ‘eyewitness account' of the May 9 incidents in Lahore.

The clip shows Anas Nawaz, a freelance journalist, narrating the sequences of events in the Punjab capital.

According to him, the non-political workers were among the protesters and at the protest sites.

He told the tale of a mob attack on Jinnah House in Lahore, saying his camera was snatched from him and the snatchers presented the look of ‘apolitical persons’.

On May 9, the PTI members took to the streets to vent their spleen over the arrest of ex-PM Imran Khan in a corruption case across the country.

They damaged public property, state assets and sensitive installations.

They stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Corps Commander House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar leaving a trail of destruction. 

Many office-bearers left the PTI and condemned the May incidents.
