Munawar Shah, was working with his 14-year-old son Hasan Ali and 6-year-old Gulab Ali when lightning struck them.

The rescuers rushed to the spot and took the bodies and the injured to a local hospital. The tragedy triggered panic among the locals.

Thunderstorms with strong winds lashed Lahore and its suburbs.

A man was electrocuted in the Shadbagh area of the provincial capital while his other family members sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Kashif, rescuers said, adding that the injured include Kashif’s wife Kiran, 25-year-old Misbah, and two children.
