The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has refiled their petition in the Supreme Court challenging verdict of the Islamabad High Court in Toshakhana criminal case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The party resubmitted the petition after removing objections raised by the apex court registrar. It urged the court to hear their plea as soon as possible.

On Saturday last, the SC registrar had objected and returned the PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s appeal against the IHC’s verdict in the Toshakhana case.

The SC registrar’s objections specifically hovered around the validity of the power of attorney and the signatures attached to the appeal.

Another objection stemmed from the issue of court fees of Rs250, required alongside the appeal, was not submitted.

Through the appeal, Imran Khan had pleaded with the apex court to declare the Toshakhana case against him non-maintainable by annulling the IHC verdict.
