SIFC's Apex Committee approves foreign investment projects
PM appreciates SIFC performance and global outreach strategy, Army Chief especially participates meeting

A meeting of the Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) was held under the chair of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Monday.
According to the sources, Army Chief General Asim Munir and other officers of the armed forces especially participated in the Apex Committee meeting and reviewed the progress so far under the SIFC.
Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Maryam Aurangzeb, Ahsan Iqbal, Aminul Haq, Musadik Malik and other civilian authorities attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the petroleum summit, IT conference and the situation after the release of agricultural forms were considered and endorsed by the decisions of the executive and implementation committees.
Issues related to the investment of Gulf countries and China in Pakistan were also reviewed in the meeting.
The sources said that in the meeting, investment projects of Gulf countries and China were also discussed.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister appreciated the effective performance of the SIFC in a short period of time by making it fully operational and through mutual cooperation.
He also appreciated the global outreach strategy by inaugurating seminars and projects.
In the meeting, the Apex Committee gave final approval to various foreign investment projects in agriculture, minerals, energy, information technology and other sectors under the auspices of the SIFC.
The Apex Committee expressed its full support for the successful conduct of the expected visit of the high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia through the Council.
The Apex Committee expressed hope that the Transitional Government would maintain the pace of progress of the SIFC.
