The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday unveiled the comprehensive schedule for training its officers in the effective utilization of the Election Management System (EMS) in preparation for the upcoming general elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The EMS training program will span from July 13 to July 26, equipping officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage this technology-driven tool.

Commencing on July 13 and 14, the training sessions will be dedicated to 20 Project Management Unit (PMU) and Information Technology (IT) officers hailing from the four provinces and the Central Secretariat. This two-day training program will take place at the Election Commission Secretariat located in Islamabad, the nation's capital.

Subsequently, from July 17 to 20, the focus will shift to providing training to 300 District Election Officers (DEOs) from the Provincial Election Commission, as well as Regional and District Election Commissioners. These officials will receive specialized training aimed at enhancing their proficiency in using the EMS system effectively.

As the training program progresses, a briefing will be conducted for senior officers from the four provinces, scheduled to take place from July 24 to 26. This briefing will offer a comprehensive overview of the EMS system's functionalities and provide guidance on its strategic implementation.

The Election Commission has already dispatched a formal letter to the four provincial election commissioners, informing them of the training schedule and urging their full cooperation in ensuring the successful implementation of the EMS system for the upcoming general elections.

The introduction of the EMS system signifies the Election Commission's commitment to leveraging technology to streamline the electoral process and enhance efficiency. By equipping officers with the necessary skills to utilize this advanced system, the Election Commission aims to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process during the upcoming general elections.

With the EMS training program now underway, the Election Commission is taking proactive measures to optimize the electoral process and provide a fair and accountable platform for voters across the country.
