Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the mission of Dr. Adeeb Rizvi will be spread all over the country, reported the 24News TV channel.
He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) in Sukkur on Tuesday.
He said that the Sindh government has extended quality healthcare treatment across the province and if his party is given a chance, a network of such free healthcare facilities will be provided throughout the country.
“We want to build such hospitals where patients get world-class facilities free of cost,” he vowed adding that the Sindh government has a plan to establish more SIUT for the hapless patients in the province.
Spanning 27 acres near Sukkur bypass, the complex, constructed at a cost of over 6 billion, aims to address the growing medical needs in rural and remote areas of the province.
Residents from Larkana, Nawabshah, and neighboring regions are already benefiting from this expansion plan.
PPP Chairman said that today’s signing of the MOU formally handing over NICH, NICVD, and JPMC to the Sindh Government by the Federal Government is a testament to the investment we have made to make these institutions world-class facilities that treat all Pakistani citizens absolutely free of cost.
It is proof not only of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to free, quality, public healthcare but also of the power of the 18th Amendment that has allowed us to invest in our hospitals and create a public healthcare system that works for all.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali was present on the occasion.
