An accused who was arrested for resisting the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, escaped from police custody in Lahore on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Accused Sajjad Ali Khan escaped from the custody of Garhi Shahu police.

According to the FIR, a case was registered in Garhi Shahu police station and the accused was on judicial remand after his arrest.

The FIR further revealed that the accused was remanded from a Cantt Kachehri court till August 20.

Accused Sajjad Ali Khan was brought to Garhi Shahu police station along with 12 other accused for CRO, text of the FIR stated.

The accused escaped from the police station taking advantage of the rush.

According to police, a case of escaping from police custody has also been registered against the accused under Section 224.
