A man alleged the capital police tortured to death his 22-year-old son a couple of days ago, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

Police claimed to have killed Sayam wanted in several cases of thefts and robberies in a shootout on Islamabad Chamber Road two days ago.

The father of Sayam alleged the youth was in custody and the policemen tortured him to death.

He raised the demand for an impartial inquiry into the death of his son.
