Low-level Flood in River Chenab at Head Marala

There is a low-level flood in River Chenab at Head Marala near Sialkot as the flow of water soured up to 122184 cusecs while the outflow is 101,384 cusecs due to the ongoing heavy monsoon rains in the Sialkot region and catchment areas, the 24News HD TV channel.

According to irrigation department sources, the water level was on a constant rise in River Chenab near Bajwat-Head Marala and in River Tawi near Chaprar-Sialkot on Saturday.

Water inflow in Manawar Tawi River is 2364 cusec while Jammu Tawi is 4657 cusecs. Up to 11 lakh cusecs of water can be released at Head Marala Barrage
