In a significant development, the Punjab caretaker government has given its approval for the establishment of an online portal that will enable individuals to make donations and offerings at the revered Data Darbar, marking a transformative shift in the way worshippers connect with the shrine.

This landmark decision also paves the way for online donations and offerings at other revered shrines dedicated to the saints.

The initiative to introduce this pilot project for online donations and offerings is spearheaded by Data Darbar, making it the first shrine to embark on this digital journey.

With the caretaker government's endorsement, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will undertake the creation of an exclusive online portal catering to the needs of devotees who wish to contribute to the upkeep and welfare of Data Darbar.

Through this innovative portal, individuals will now have the convenience of making donations for various purposes such as the distribution of food, the construction and repair of the Darbar, as well as offering flowers and chadars, all at the click of a button.

This digital platform aims to enhance accessibility and inclusivity for devotees who may be unable to visit the shrine physically, allowing them to connect with their spiritual heritage from anywhere in the world.

Moreover, the second phase of this digital transformation will witness the creation of online portals for other prominent shrines, including Bibi Pak Daman, Mian Mir, Baba Farid Ganj Shukar, and Bahauddin Zakaria. These portals will enable devotees to extend their offerings and donations, promoting a sense of unity and devotion beyond physical boundaries.
