Six deaths reported in Punjab in rain-related incidents in 24 hours: PDMA

As many as six people have died in rain-related incidents in the Punjab during last 24 hours, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PDMA on Saturday issued a report on the fatalities occurred due to heavy rains in Punjab.

According to the PDMA spokesperson, a total of six deaths were reported in the province and seven people got injuries in various accidents in the last 24 hours.

The spokesperson said that the best treatment facilities were being provided to the injured in the hospitals.

He said two deaths were reported in Sheikhupura, two in Faisalabad, and one death each was reported in Jhang and Khushab.

PDMA DG Imran Qureshi said that the authority was in constant contact with the administration across Punjab and machinery and staff were kept on high alert to deal with any emergency situation.

He said that citizens could inform about any casualty or accident by ringing on PDMA’s Helpline 1129.
