A large number of students of the University of Swat protested outside the office of the vice-chancellor (VC) against the arrest of a student, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the university sources, the VC had complained to Charbagh police against the student, Jawad Khan, following which the police registered a case against him and arrested him on the charge of hurling threats on the phone.

The protesting students demanded the release of Jawad Khan.
