Federal Minister Mian Javed Latif said that the term of the sitting National Assembly will not be extended by a single day and elections will be held at the scheduled time.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he addressed a press conference in Shiekhupura and said people will give the mandate of a two-thirds majority to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N).
The federal minister said that people are not satisfied with the current justice system. Qazi (judge), whether former, current or future, will keep the scales of justice equal, then the country will move forward, he added.
Javed Latif said that the way the accused of the May 9th and 10th incidents got relief from the courts is a matter of grave concern and the motherland is waiting to see who will punish the attackers.
The minister said that the former government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which had power and resources for four years, could not prove even one penny of corruption against his party supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Being acquitted from the cases by the courts is proof of the innocence of PML-N leader and former premier Mian Nawaz Sharif.
The Federal Minister said that the construction work of Sheikhupura Batti Chowk will be completed within a week.
