HEC ends deputation duty for govt university employees

Higher Education Commission (HEC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to end deputation duty of government university employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In this regard, the Higher Education Department has written a letter to the vice-chancellors of all universities of the province.

According to the text of the letter all the employees sent on deputation have been called back.

University employees cannot go to other departments on deputation according to rules and regulations, says text of letter.

A large number of university employees are currently working in other departments on deputation and all university employees who went on deputation should be called back.

In its letter, HEC directed that no employee should be allowed to go on deputation to any other institution in future as well.
