Senior political leaders have filed a petition against the eviction of foreigners in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The petition was filed by former senator Farhatullah Babar, Senator Mushtaq, Mohsin Dawar and others.

In the application, the federation, provinces, NADRA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Interior and others have been made parties.

It was requested in the petition that the caretaker government's decision to evict a large number of people should be declared illegal.

The petitioners took the plea in the application that people who were born in Pakistan have the right to citizenship.

Eviction of such citizens who have legal documents is illegal, applicants took plea.
