The details of the beneficiaries of the NAB amendments this year have been submitted to the Supreme Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to the NAB report, 12 references were transferred from the NAB courts till August 30 this year.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are among the beneficiaries of the NAB amendments.

The NAB cases of Khursheed Anwar Jamali, Manzoor Qadir Kaka and Khawaja Anwar Majeed were transferred.

The case of Hussain Lawai, the main suspect in the fake accounts case, has also gone out of the NAB jurisdiction.

The Park Lane reference against Asif Ali Zardari was returned by the accountability court after the NAB amendments.

The NAB case against Omni Group’s Abdul Ghani Majeed was also returned by the accountability court.

A total of 22 cases were returned from accountability courts this year, the NAB report said.

“In the light of the NAB amendments, 25 cases were transferred to other forums,” it added.
