FIA tightens noose around 20 CDA officers

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has tightened the noose around 20 officers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) found involved in corruption, money laundering and record tampering, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to the FIA, the accused have been involved in making fake payments to contractors by tampering with records.

The FIA has asked the CDA to investigate and tell how much property is registered in the name of these officers.

Officers to the rank of director, deputy director and additional director are among those 20 officers.

Azmat Hayat, Nasir Khan, Ashiq Hussain, Imran Akhtar, Ghulam Sarwar, Muhammad Shakeel, Zulfiqar Ali Muhammad Yunus, Imran Haider, Nasir Qureshi and others were among these officers.
