Efforts are underway to make the federal capital, Islamabad, environmentally friendly as Prime Minister’s Assistant on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam, has taken a significant step by proposing artificial intelligence-based solutions to improve air quality in the city.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, she emphasised that better air quality will reduce health risks.

The launch of an electric bus service in Islamabad marks an important step towards environmental protection.

To tackle the impacts of climate change, urban forests will be established, with plans to plant 4-5 million trees in the capital.

Romina Khurshid highlighted that renewable energy, electric vehicles, and urban forests are key to a healthier society.

She also urged other cities in the country to adopt Islamabad’s climate action model.
