The Power Division has officially denied reports circulating on multiple TV channels suggesting that the investigative committee has summoned the owners of Independent Power Producers (IPPs). 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, in a statement issued by the Power Division, it was emphasised that these reports are baseless and do not reflect the actual proceedings of the committee.

The statement further clarified that no such summons have been issued, dismissing the news as inaccurate. 

The Power Division urges the public and media outlets to verify information before broadcasting to avoid spreading misinformation.
