A young man committed suicide by jumping on a railway track and allowing a train to run over him in Deharki, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to police, people standing near the crossing gate tried to save the young man, but they failed.

The young man has been identified as Aamir Ali, and he was a resident of Khuda Bakhsh Colony, police said.

Police said according to the initial investigation, the incident took place due to domestic violence.
