A freight train Thursday derailed at the Daur Railway Station near the Jacababad Junction. This is the third accident in the last six days in Pakistan.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the freight train was going from Nawabshah to Rohri when it derailed while shunting.
The channel report said that two coaches of the freight train were derailed on the Up-line [railway track] at the railway station.
Due to the derailment, both the Up and Down tracks of the trains have been blocked and unfortunately, the restoration operation of the track could not be started by the railways till filing this report.
The channel report said the freight train was carrying stones.
