A major terrorist plot has been foiled as Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested two terrorists in Larkana belonging to SRS group, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, CTD Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Asghar Shah said that Jameel Sheikh and Salahuddin Jatoi have been arrested.

Arrested terrorists had a plan to attack Central Jail and stadium on the occasion of Independence Day on August 14, the DSP further said.

DSP Asghar Shah said that 350 grams of explosives, 6 detonator safety fuses, black powder, wire and grenades were recovered from the arrested terrorists.

DSP Asghar Shah said that CTD arrested the terrorists from Naudero Road when intelligence institutions pointed out.

He said four cases against arrested terrorists were already registered and investigating them further.
