A contempt petition was filed Monday in the Supreme Court (SC) against Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The petition demanded legal action against both the SC judges. “An answer should be sought from the two judges on the violation of the court order,” it added.

The petition further stated that the two judges had violated the stay order on the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act.

“The two judges refused to sit in the bench formed to hear the military courts case in violation of the SC order,” the petition stated.

“The stay order of the SC applies to both the judges. The order of the SC is in accordance with Article 239 of the Constitution,” it added.

The petition was filed by Shahid Rana Advocate.
