The Gold medalist of South Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Maldives Shehzad Qureshi Sunday returned to Pakistan after defeating competitors from across the continent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The champion Shehzad Qureshi’s family, friends and fellow bodybuilders welcomed him warmly with garlands and showers of petals at the Karachi Airport.

The Secretary of Pakistan bodybuilding federation Sohail Anwar also returned with Qureshi.

Pakistani builders won three medals while Shehzad won the only gold medal. He won the medal defeating an Indian Bodybuilder and Pakistan’s national anthem in the background doubled the thrill of his win.

Qureshi won gold medal in 80 kilogram category.

Pakistan’s Ibrahim Khan won bronze medal and Shahidullah won bronze medal in 75 kg Junior category.
