Islamabad court summons Imran Khan in five terror cases tomorrow

Police submit challan declaring PTI chief and others as accused

An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has summoned former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan tomorrow (Tuesday) in five cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The court also summoned Asad Umar, Amir Mehmood Kiyani, Jamshed Mehboob and Munir Ahmad.

The PTI chairman was summoned in five cases registered in Golra, Sangjani and CTD police stations. Two cases were registered against him on Feb 28 and two on March 18, and one case was lodged in Sangjani police station.

Earlier, police submitted a challan to the anti-terrorism court against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and others in five terrorism cases including an attack on Islamabad Judicial Complex.

Police declared Imran, Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan and others as accused in their challan.

During the hearing, ATC Judge Abul Hasnaat Zulqarnain issued summons for summoning PTI Chairman, Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan and other accused for the official start of the trial.

The court directed the accused to ensure their attendance tomorrow and asked the authorities to send copies of the challan to the accused.

It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan has got bail in these five cases from the court.
